Final critique_Menu

Hey gang,

Wednesday is our last day of class (I still can't believe it!), so I'd like to remind you of what you need to bring:

1. Your menu (board and mock-up)
_I'll keep your boards and mock-ups
In the pocket attached to your board, besides the mock-up you need to have:
- A regular 8.5"x11" saying: name of the designer you chose, what aspect of his/her design you emulated, fonts you used, and the jpg of the piece or pieces they designed that inspired you (you can copy and paste from the internet - it doesn't need to be a high resolution image)


2. If you're resubmitting work, Wednesday is the last day to do so. You can resubmit any project (board and mock-up), just like you did when you first submitted it.
_I'll keep all boards and mock-ups of any resubmissions.

3. A CD/DVD with high resolution JPGs* of ALL of your projects. Make sure you label your projects properly:

*Creating JPGs in Illustrator: FILE>EXPORT>FORMAT (change it from .png to .jpg)

4. You're Restaurant Ads, if you're submitting them. Two boards, one full-size ad in per board.

Type Test

Our test is going to be on April 26th. All questions will be multiple choice, but one about the anatomy of type. (Yes, this is a tip!)

_ We're having an in-progress critique, so bring a COLOR, FULL SIZE MOCK-UP of your menu.

_ We're having a review for our test (April 26th).

Submit Font journal_Wednesday, April 21

Bring your font journal with all 16 type collage next Wednesday, April 21. Remember that it's 10% of your final grade.

InDesign_word count

To know the number of words in InDesign:

1. Select the text

2. Go to WINDOW

3. Click on INFO

4. A box will pop up with the number of words you have

Make sure you have at least 750 words in your Atlanta Landmark brochure.

Brochure_Final critique on Wed, April 7th

Hi gang,

Like we've discussed in class, our final critique has been transferred from Monday to Wednesday, so you have some extra time to finalize your brochures.

Remember to bring a fully mounted mock-up on Monday though. It should be full size, have front and back printed and spray mounted together.
